Project Overview

As a project manager, I led the development of a WordPress website for Umbrella Products, showcasing 61 products with a “Request a Quote” option. The project required an accelerated 14-day timeline, focusing on presenting products without e-commerce functionality using Elementor.

My Role

Overseeing the entire website development process within the tight 14-day timeframe, my responsibilities included coordinating with the client for content and approvals, managing the development team, ensuring adherence to the accelerated timeline, and maintaining clear communication among all stakeholders.

The Process

The project kicked off with gathering all necessary content and access information from the client. I coordinated the WordPress setup and theme installation process, ensuring our team had everything needed to begin work immediately.

In the early days of the project, I oversaw the design customization, logo recreation from a PDF, and the creation of five product images. This phase was crucial in establishing the visual identity of the site.

As we moved into the content population phase, I managed the team’s efforts to create and populate all 61 product pages, as well as the main pages. I ensured the implementation of a custom “Request a Quote” functionality for each product, a key feature of the site.

Throughout the process, I facilitated rapid decision-making and approvals from the client, crucial for maintaining our accelerated timeline. I also coordinated SEO and performance optimization efforts, as well as comprehensive testing across different browsers and devices.

In the final days of the project, I managed the client review process, coordinated any necessary revisions, and oversaw the site launch and DNS configuration.

The Outcome

Despite the challenging timeline, I successfully delivered a professional, user-friendly WordPress website for Umbrella Products within the 14-day timeframe. 

The website features a responsive design, ensuring compatibility across various devices and browsers. I implemented basic on-page SEO and optimized the site for performance, setting a strong foundation for the client’s online presence.

The project was completed on time and within budget, meeting all key objectives outlined in the initial scope. 

This project demonstrated my ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure, showcasing expertise in managing WordPress development, project management, and client communication.
